Rival Terror Groups Clash in Kurram, Top Commander Among 14 Killed in Deadly Infighting

At least 14 terrorists have been killed and several others injured following a violent clash between rival extremist factions in the Manato Kamran Khel area of Central Kurram, according to police sources.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that the deadly confrontation broke out between armed groups led by terrorist commanders Kazim and Mumtaz Amti. During the intense exchange of fire, commander Mumtaz Amti was also killed, marking a significant blow to one of the involved factions.

Police stated that the clash reflects ongoing infighting among multiple terrorist groups operating in the region, highlighting the fragmented and volatile nature of militant activity in Central Kurram.

Following the encounter, local tribal elders reportedly collected the bodies of the deceased terrorists and arranged their burial in accordance with local customs.

Security officials further revealed that intelligence-based operations have been conducted in Central Kurram over time, targeting multiple terrorist hideouts and training facilities. According to official assessments, dozens of militant strongholds have been destroyed, while security forces have eliminated hundreds of terrorists in sustained counterterrorism operations across the region.

Authorities confirmed that the recent clash took place specifically in Manato Kamran Khel, an area believed to host the presence of multiple armed terrorist factions operating independently and often in competition with one another.
