Security forces intensified a wide-ranging counterterrorism operation in Bannu, targeting suspected terrorist hideouts in the Akbar Ali Khan Kalley and Sada Khel areas as part of an ongoing crackdown against armed networks operating in the region.
Heavy contingents, backed by armoured vehicles, advanced deeper into multiple suspected compounds during the operation, while strict checkpoints and blockades were imposed on entry and exit routes to prevent terrorist movement and escape attempts.
According to details, search and clearance activities continued across several sensitive pockets where terrorist presence had reportedly been traced. Operational teams carried out coordinated advances toward key hideouts as security sweeps expanded through surrounding areas.
During the operation, a vehicle allegedly linked to terrorist elements was also recovered, adding to growing indications of organised movement and logistical activity within the targeted zones.
The latest action comes amid renewed efforts to dismantle terrorist infrastructure and disrupt facilitator networks in Bannu and adjoining districts, where security operations have intensified following recurring threats and attacks targeting both civilians and law enforcement personnel.
Security forces have maintained that operations will continue until all terrorists and their support structures are fully neutralised, with additional search activities expected in nearby localities as the crackdown widens.
