Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir: Armed Forces Reaffirm Unwavering Solidarity with Kashmiris: ISPR

On the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir (Kashmir Exploitation Day), Pakistan’s military leadership reaffirmed its unwavering support for the just struggle of the Kashmiri people for their internationally recognized right to self-determination, while emphasizing that lasting peace and stability in South Asia remain inextricably linked to the peaceful and just resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu jointly reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to the legitimate rights of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and expressed complete solidarity with their ongoing struggle for self-determination.

The military leadership stated that Pakistan’s Armed Forces stand shoulder to shoulder with the resilient people of Kashmir and will continue to extend their moral, political, and diplomatic support until the realization of their fundamental right to determine their own future in accordance with international law.

The statement expressed grave concern over what it described as India’s continued illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir, persistent human rights violations, and efforts to alter the demographic composition of the occupied territory. It emphasized that such actions undermine regional peace, violate international norms, and further exacerbate tensions in South Asia.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s longstanding position, the military leadership underscored that no durable or meaningful peace can be achieved in the region without a fair and peaceful settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute based on the United Nations Security Council resolutions and the freely expressed aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

On the occasion, Pakistan’s Armed Forces also paid rich tribute to the martyrs of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, acknowledging their sacrifices in pursuit of freedom and justice. The statement honored their courage and reaffirmed that their sacrifices would continue to inspire generations in the quest for dignity, peace, and self-determination.

The Armed Forces further reiterated that the people and Armed Forces of Pakistan remain united in their unwavering solidarity with the Kashmiri people and will continue to support their just cause at every level. The leadership reaffirmed Pakistan’s enduring commitment to regional peace while emphasizing that a sustainable and lasting solution to the Kashmir dispute is essential for ensuring long-term stability and prosperity across South Asia.

The statement concluded by reaffirming Pakistan’s resolve to continue advocating for the rights of the Kashmiri people on all relevant international forums and to stand firmly with them until a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute is achieved in accordance with international law and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
