Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) held a special interactive session with students participating in the ISPR Summer Internship 2026, where he engaged with young participants on key national issues, including national security, counter-terrorism efforts, and the responsible use of social media platforms.
During the comprehensive session, the DG ISPR provided detailed insights into various security-related matters and addressed questions raised by students. He responded to participants’ queries with detailed explanations, offering clarity on issues related to national security, information management, and emerging challenges in the digital environment.
Students participating in the ISPR Summer Internship 2026 appreciated the opportunity to interact directly with the DG ISPR and stated that the session provided valuable guidance on identifying and dealing with misinformation, disinformation, propaganda, and unverified news content.
The participants highlighted that the detailed and informative discussion by the DG ISPR helped address several misconceptions and ambiguities regarding national security matters. They noted that the session enhanced their understanding of the importance of accurate information, critical thinking, and responsible engagement in the digital space.
The interns further stated that detailed briefings regarding the situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Indian propaganda efforts, and Pakistan’s perspective on regional issues helped them better understand ground realities and distinguish facts from misleading narratives.
The participants also appreciated the DG ISPR’s fact-based discussion regarding Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij, stating that the information shared during the session helped remove misunderstandings and provided greater clarity about the nature of these security challenges.
Students attending the internship expressed their commitment to promoting accurate information, countering hostile propaganda, and contributing positively towards creating greater awareness among society. They emphasized the importance of responsible social media usage and the role of youth in preventing the spread of false information.
The ISPR Summer Internship 2026 is being conducted across 21 different stations throughout Pakistan, with participation from more than 6,000 students from across the country. The initiative aims to provide young students with greater awareness of national security issues, institutional roles, and contemporary challenges while encouraging informed and responsible citizenship.
The internship reflects continued efforts to engage with Pakistan’s youth and provide them with opportunities to better understand national issues, security dynamics, and the importance of accurate information in an increasingly digital era.
