A senior intelligence figure associated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan (TTP), identified as Umar Shahab Hebati Baloch, has been confirmed killed during a security operation in Panjpai, near Quetta, Balochistan.
Security forces and terrorists reportedly remained engaged in a series of clashes over three days in the area a few days ago. Umar Shahab Hebati Baloch was among those eliminated during the operation.
According to available information, Hebati Baloch was serving as the TTP’s intelligence chief for Quetta. The terrorist organization has also confirmed his death.
His reported position points to the operational role he held within the TTP network in the Quetta area.
