Security forces successfully thwarted an attempted terrorist attack on a police station in the Josak area of Kech district, demonstrating swift response and operational readiness, according to official security sources.
The attempted assault, attributed to elements identified as Khawarij linked to “Fitna al-Hindustan,” was launched with the intent to target law enforcement infrastructure in the region. However, the attack was promptly and effectively neutralized through rapid intervention by the Frontier Corps Balochistan (South).
Officials confirmed that FC troops reached the site immediately upon receiving reports of the attack attempt, forcing the assailants to abandon their plan and flee the area without causing any damage or casualties. The timely response prevented what security officials described as a potentially serious threat to public safety and law enforcement personnel.
Security sources stated that the attackers, unable to withstand the swift defensive action, retreated in disarray, failing to achieve any of their intended objectives. Authorities noted that such incidents highlight ongoing attempts by hostile elements to destabilize peace in the region, which continue to be countered through proactive security measures.
Following the incident, security forces launched area domination and clearance operations to ensure the complete sanitization of the surroundings and to prevent any further threats. Officials confirmed that the situation in Josak and surrounding areas remains fully under control.
Authorities further emphasized that intelligence-based operations and coordinated security efforts continue to strengthen the overall security environment in Balochistan, significantly reducing the operational space for hostile elements.
Residents of the area have been assured that security forces maintain a strong presence and that all necessary measures are in place to safeguard public safety and critical installations.
Officials reiterated that the security situation remains stable and fully under control, with continued vigilance to prevent any resurgence of terrorist activity in the region.
