Addressing officers at the Command and Staff College Quetta, troops deployed in Balochistan, and participants of the Provincial Apex Committee meeting on the National Action Plan, the national leadership underscored Pakistan’s determination to defeat all forms of terrorism, strengthen national security, and accelerate inclusive socio-economic development across the country, particularly in Balochistan.

The prime minister, while addressing faculty members and student officers at the Command and Staff College, stated that Pakistan’s counterterrorism campaign, including Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, was continuing with full force and unwavering resolve against Khawarij elements and Afghan Taliban-based terrorist proxies targeting innocent civilians and state institutions.

“The ongoing ‘Ghazab-lil-Haq’ campaign has instilled fear into the hearts of our enemies. It is our firm resolve that we will not rest until this menace is completely eradicated from the soil of Pakistan,” the prime minister stated.

Highlighting Pakistan’s response to external aggression, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recalled the nation’s firm and measured response to Indian hostilities last year, emphasizing that Pakistan’s armed forces demonstrated exceptional professionalism, operational superiority, and strategic capability.

“The mastery of our brave falcons in the skies and the deadly precision of Fatah missiles ensured that the enemy was taught an unforgettable lesson,” he remarked, adding that Pakistan’s sincere offers for dialogue should never be mistaken for weakness.

The prime minister stressed that Pakistan’s narrative on the diplomatic front stood vindicated before the international community, while false allegations and propaganda against the country had failed in the face of Pakistan’s mature and responsible conduct.

He paid rich tribute to the leadership of COAS & CDF Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and commended the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan’s armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and the families of martyrs in the fight against terrorism over the past two decades.

“The blood of our martyrs continues to nourish the roots of our freedom. The peace and security we cherish today are the result of their unmatched bravery, devotion and supreme sacrifice,” he said.

Addressing officers from friendly countries attending the staff course, the prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, constructive diplomacy, and international cooperation.

Referring to recent regional tensions involving Iran and the United States, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan had played a responsible diplomatic role by urging all sides to pursue peace through dialogue and engagement.

The prime minister also reiterated Pakistan’s principled support for the Palestinian cause and reaffirmed continued moral, diplomatic and political support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

“We believe that the only just and legitimate resolution of the Palestinian issue lies in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in accordance with relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions,” he stated.

On relations with Afghanistan, the prime minister emphasized that Pakistan desired peaceful and brotherly relations with its neighbour but expected the Afghan Taliban regime to take concrete and credible action against terrorist organizations, including ISKP, TTP and BLA, allegedly using Afghan soil to launch attacks inside Pakistan.

Underscoring the link between national security and economic stability, the prime minister said Pakistan was striving to become an export-driven, technology-oriented and innovation-led economy.

“We envision a strong, peaceful and prosperous Pakistan a nation where merit prevails, institutions are transparent, and every citizen has equal opportunities to succeed through hard work and dedication,” he said.

The prime minister further assured the armed forces of the nation’s complete support and unity.

“We stand united as one nation an iron wall, Bunyan-um-Marsoos,” he declared.

Meanwhile, COAS & CDF Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, during his interaction with officers and troops deployed in Balochistan, reaffirmed that hostile forces and externally sponsored proxies attempting to destabilize Pakistan through terrorism, propaganda and misinformation would never succeed.

“The destined rise of Pakistan cannot be obstructed through fake narratives, propaganda or externally sponsored terrorism,” the Field Marshal stated.

He emphasized that Pakistan Armed Forces, with the steadfast support of the people, remained fully committed to eliminating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

The COAS & CDF highlighted the importance of adopting a people-centric and development-oriented approach for sustainable peace and stability in Balochistan, while appreciating ongoing efforts by the provincial government aimed at socio-economic uplift and public welfare.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also praised the high morale, combat readiness and professionalism of troops deployed in the province for maintaining peace, stability and the writ of the state.

Addressing officers and faculty members at the Command and Staff College, the COAS & CDF emphasized the rapidly evolving nature of modern warfare and underscored the need to remain fully prepared for emerging security challenges.

He stressed the importance of technological advancement, multi-domain operations, tri-services synergy and modern battlefield preparedness, advising officers to continuously enhance their professional capabilities in line with evolving operational requirements.

Separately, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, where he directed authorities to deploy additional Frontier Corps (FC) units in Balochistan’s Rakhshan Division to establish a dedicated security corridor for the protection of mineral resources and strategic economic activities.

The proposed security corridor will include additional FC wings, highway security check-posts, surveillance systems and border posts aimed at strengthening security infrastructure and ensuring a safe environment for local and international investment.

“Pakistan is blessed with abundant natural resources, especially minerals, and ensuring a secure environment in Balochistan is essential for economic growth and investor confidence,” the prime minister observed.

The meeting was briefed on the overall security situation, development initiatives, governance reforms and progress on youth welfare projects in Balochistan.

Officials informed the meeting that all state institutions were actively engaged in efforts to eliminate terrorism completely, while major development initiatives in healthcare, education, renewable energy and public welfare were progressing successfully across the province.

The meeting was informed that no polio case had been reported in Balochistan since November 2024, while several healthcare facilities including cancer institutes, trauma centres and dialysis units had become operational.

Officials further noted that 99 percent of schools in the province remained functional and educational activities were continuing uninterrupted. Additionally, more than 15,000 households had benefited from solar energy initiatives, resulting in substantial economic savings.

The prime minister emphasized that integrating Balochistan’s youth into the national mainstream remained a top priority through education, scholarships, technical training, digital skills programmes, sports initiatives and employment opportunities.

The high-level meetings and engagements were attended by COAS & CDF Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, federal ministers, senior military leadership, faculty members of Command and Staff College, officers from friendly countries and senior government officials.

Earlier upon arrival in Quetta, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was received by Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, while the COAS & CDF was received by the Quetta Corps Commander.

The visit reaffirmed Pakistan’s national unity, institutional cohesion and collective resolve to defend the country’s sovereignty, ensure peace and stability, and advance toward a stronger, more secure and prosperous future.
