Forces affiliated with the National Resistance Front (NRF) reportedly carried out a rocket attack targeting a Taliban outpost in the Pul-e-Hisar district of Afghanistan earlier today, according to sources familiar with the development.
The attack reportedly occurred at approximately 3:25 p.m. local time in the Andarab region and was directed at a Taliban security position located within the district.
According to preliminary reports, two Taliban members were killed in the strike, while another sustained injuries. No official statement regarding the casualties has yet been issued by Taliban authorities.
Sources stated that the operation was part of continuing resistance activities being conducted by NRF-affiliated fighters in northern Afghanistan, particularly in areas where anti-Taliban resistance groups remain active.
The exact extent of the damage caused to the targeted outpost has not yet been independently verified. Security conditions in the region remain tense following the incident, with reports indicating heightened movement and vigilance in surrounding areas.
The National Resistance Front, which has maintained opposition activities against the Taliban administration since the group’s return to power in Afghanistan in 2021, has periodically claimed responsibility for attacks targeting Taliban positions in several northern provinces.
Observers note that districts within the Andarab region have repeatedly witnessed clashes, raids, and resistance operations due to their strategic and symbolic significance in anti-Taliban activities.
