Pakistan’s security forces successfully eliminated 11 Khawarij during a series of intelligence-based operations conducted in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan over the past 48 hours, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The military’s media wing stated that the operations were carried out as part of the ongoing campaign against Fitna al Khawarij and targeted multiple hideouts being used by Khawarij elements in the region.
According to ISPR, security forces launched coordinated actions after receiving intelligence regarding the presence of Khawarij in various locations within Datta Khel. During the operations, troops engaged in intense and heavy exchanges of fire with the Khawarij elements.
Following fierce combat, 11 Khawarij affiliated with the Indian-backed Fitna al Khawarij network were eliminated, the statement said.
Security officials confirmed that a significant quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of the eliminated Khawarij. Authorities stated that the individuals were actively involved in multiple acts of terrorism and militant activities carried out in the area.
The ISPR further stated that sanitization operations are continuing in the affected locations to ensure the complete clearance of any remaining Khawarij elements and associated infrastructure.
Officials emphasized that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies remain fully committed to eliminating terrorism and restoring lasting peace and stability across the region.
The statement added that operations against foreign-sponsored and externally supported terrorist networks are being conducted under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee of the National Action Plan.
According to security officials, the nationwide campaign against terrorism will continue with full intensity to eradicate the menace of externally backed terrorism from Pakistan.
Authorities reiterated that the sacrifices and continued efforts of security personnel reflect the state’s unwavering resolve to confront all threats to national security and ensure peace for the people of Pakistan.
