At least 13 terrorists linked to Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Khwarij were eliminated in two separate infiltration attempts along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on April 28 and 29, security sources said.

According to details, security forces detected the movement of a group attempting to infiltrate through the border in Mohmand district. Troops engaged the group in a precise and effective operation, resulting in the elimination of eight khwarij.

In a separate engagement in North Waziristan district, another infiltration attempt was foiled after an intense exchange of fire, during which five khwarij were neutralized.

Security officials said the incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding cross-border movement and the use of Afghan territory by terrorist elements. Pakistan has repeatedly called on the Afghan Taliban authorities to ensure effective border management and prevent the use of their soil for terrorist activities against Pakistan.

The security forces reiterated their resolve to defend the country’s frontiers, stating that sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining terrorist presence in the area.

Officials added that counterterrorism efforts under the national framework of “Azm-e-Istehkam” will continue with full momentum to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
