A reported exchange of fire took place between Khawarij and members of a local peace committee group in the Miro Dara area of Tehsil Upper Bara, Khyber District, according to preliminary information received from the area.
The incident reportedly occurred near Khula Abdul Salam Kali, adjacent to Usman Mosque, where firing was exchanged between the two groups. Initial reports indicate that the confrontation took place while Khawarij were attempting to move one of their injured associates to a doctor for medical treatment.
Following the exchange of fire, the Khawarij are reportedly believed to have taken shelter inside the house of Muhammad Din, located near Abdul Salam Kali Mosque. Their number is estimated to be around 10 to 11 individuals, according to local sources.
