Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has reaffirmed that terrorist attacks will not weaken the province’s connection with Pakistan, stressing that the people of Balochistan remain committed to the country.
Addressing a ceremony held in Quetta to mark the death anniversary of Nawabzada Siraj Raisani, the Chief Minister said that no matter how many attacks terrorists carry out, Pakistan’s flag will continue to fly across Balochistan.
He said the people of Balochistan love Pakistan and rejected attempts by terrorist elements to create divisions through violence and propaganda.
Highlighting the sacrifices made by security forces and civilians, he referred to the martyrdom of 11 personnel of the Pakistan Army in Bela a few days earlier and the killing of five innocent laborers in Balochistan, questioning whether such acts represent the traditions or values of the province.
He emphasized that such conspiracies must be collectively defeated and called for a united national response against terrorism.
The Chief Minister also recalled that his younger brother was targeted and injured in a terrorist attack two months ago, yet he continues to stand against terrorist elements.
He paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Frontier Corps, Balochistan Police, and Pakistan Army, stating that these institutions have rendered immense sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
He criticized attempts to blame the state despite terrorists targeting state institutions, security personnel, and innocent citizens, saying that those responsible for spreading violence must be held accountable.
Speaking about Nawabzada Siraj Raisani, he said his sacrifice would be remembered in the history of Balochistan with honor, adding that he stood on the front line during one of the province’s most difficult periods.
The Chief Minister reiterated that terrorist violence cannot break the resolve of the people of Balochistan, who remain determined to protect peace, stability, and national unity.
