Afghan authorities have reportedly issued a one-week deadline to members of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) residing in Kunar province, directing them to shut down their bases and relocate to other provinces, according to sources.
According to Abdullah Jan Sabir, the development stated that TTP members have been instructed to leave Kunar and move their presence to Ghazni or Badakhshan provinces within the specified timeframe. The directive reportedly comes as part of efforts to address security concerns linked to the presence of foreign-based armed groups in the region.
According to sources, failure to comply with the government’s instructions within the given period could result in strict action against the group. However, details regarding the nature of possible measures and the implementation process remain unclear.
