According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan’s security forces carried out a series of intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, during which 32 militants were killed.
ISPR stated that the operations were conducted over the past 24 hours as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts targeting groups identified by the military as Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan.
According to the military’s statement, multiple intelligence-based clearance and targeted operations were conducted during the night of 28–29 July in Khyber District, where security forces engaged suspected militant hideouts. ISPR said that 24 militants affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij were killed during the operations.
In a separate series of intelligence-base ISPRd operations in Noshki District, Balochistan, security forces exchanged fire with armed militants, resulting in the deaths of eight individuals identified by the military as members of Fitna al-Hindustan.
ISPR further stated that weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were recovered from the sites of the operations and subsequently destroyed.
The military added that clearance operations remain underway in the affected areas to locate any remaining armed individuals and ensure the security of the region.
According to ISPR, the operations are being conducted under the framework of Pakistan’s National Action Plan and the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative, with security forces and law enforcement agencies continuing counterterrorism efforts aimed at addressing militancy and enhancing national security.
