Terrorists came under pressure and fled after Bannu Police launched a swift operation following an attempted attack targeting innocent civilians in the Sub-Division Wazir area, officials said.
Police rushed to the area immediately after receiving information that terrorists were targeting civilians and began an operation to prevent further attacks and protect residents.
The police cordoned off the area and exchanged fire with the terrorists. The firefight forced the attackers to flee, while security personnel continued efforts to secure the area and prevent the terrorists from regrouping.
