Security forces and law enforcement agencies successfully thwarted an attempted attack by Fitna al-Khawarij elements targeting key government installations in Hangu, ensuring the safety of public institutions and preventing any loss of life or property.
According to official sources, Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists positioned in the surrounding mountainous terrain attempted to target the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, District Police Officer (DPO) Office, and the district courts complex. However, due to the vigilance, preparedness, and timely response of security personnel, the hostile attempt was effectively neutralized before it could achieve its intended objectives.
Authorities confirmed that no casualties were reported and no damage was sustained to public infrastructure as a result of the attempted attack. The swift and coordinated response by security forces ensured that normalcy was maintained and that government operations continued uninterrupted.
