Pakistan’s security forces have achieved significant operational successes in the ongoing fight against terrorism, conducting tens of thousands of intelligence-based operations across the country and eliminating hundreds of high-risk terrorist elements, according to official figures shared up to 15 June 2026.
Between the start of the year and 15 June 2026, the Pakistan Armed Forces conducted a total of 32,092 intelligence-based operations (IBOs), averaging approximately 193 operations per day, reflecting the intensity and sustained nature of counterterrorism efforts across the country.
During these operations, 1,861 terrorists were neutralized, significantly disrupting militant networks responsible for planning and executing attacks against security forces and civilians. Among those eliminated, 862 terrorists were reportedly neutralized in cross-border engagement scenarios involving Afghan territory, underscoring the transnational dimension of the security challenge.
Regionally, the breakdown of operations highlights extensive counterterrorism activity across high-risk areas. In Balochistan alone, 24,718 operations were conducted, while 5,710 operations were carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reflecting the concentrated efforts in regions most affected by militancy.
Despite these operational gains, Pakistan has also paid a heavy human cost in its fight against terrorism. During the same period, 640 officers and personnel of the security forces embraced martyrdom in the line of duty while defending the country’s sovereignty, stability, and civilian population.
The sacrifices of these men and women are a solemn reminder of the ongoing security challenges faced by the country and the high price paid to ensure peace and stability for future generations.
Officials emphasized that these operations are part of a sustained national counterterrorism strategy aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructure, preventing cross-border infiltration, and ensuring long-term peace and security across all provinces.
The security forces reiterated their unwavering commitment to continue operations against all terrorist networks without exception, regardless of their affiliation, location, or external support structures.
Tributes were paid to the fallen personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty, with officials stating that their sacrifice represents the highest form of national service and remains a source of enduring pride for the nation.
Pakistan reaffirmed its resolve to eliminate terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, emphasizing that the protection of national sovereignty, internal stability, and civilian lives remains its foremost priority.
