Security Forces Eliminate 10 TTP-Affiliated Khawarij in Major Counterterrorism Operation in North Waziristan

Security forces conducted a successful counterterrorism operation in the Inar Khel area of Shewa Tehsil in North Waziristan, resulting in the elimination of 10 Khawarij affiliated with a faction of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), according to ground reports.

The operation targeted members of the so-called “Ghazi Umar faction,” linked to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. Acting on credible intelligence, security forces launched a precision-based operation in the early hours of the morning.

During the engagement in Inar Khel, security personnel engaged the Khawarij in a brief but intense exchange of fire. Ten militants were neutralized, significantly disrupting the group’s operational presence in the area.

Officials described the operation as a major success in ongoing counterterrorism efforts aimed at dismantling militant networks and restoring stability in the region. No confirmed casualties among security forces have been reported at this stage.

Following the operation, the area was cordoned off and a comprehensive search and clearance operation was launched to eliminate any remaining threats. Intelligence-based follow-up actions are also underway to identify facilitators and associated networks.

Authorities reiterated their commitment to sustained intelligence-driven operations across the region to ensure lasting peace and security.
