Khawarij Turn Their Guns On Each Other: Fierce Infighting Erupts Between Two Rival Factions In South Waziristan

Intense armed clashes between two rival Khawarij groups, reportedly involving surrendered terrorist elements and Fitna al-Khawarij, erupted near Zarmelan Bazaar in South Waziristan, triggering panic and fear among local residents and disrupting routine commercial activities.

Heavy gunfire in the vicinity of Zarmelan Bazaar forced people visiting the Sunday market to flee the area for their safety. Shopkeepers, traders, and ordinary residents were also caught in an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty as the armed confrontation threatened civilian lives and brought normal activities to a standstill.

The incident highlights the increasingly volatile security environment in the region, where rivalries and armed confrontations among Khawarij groups are adding to the security challenges faced by local communities.

Meanwhile, approximately 20 security-related incidents have reportedly been recorded over the past 48 hours across different areas stretching from Khyber to Waziristan. These incidents include targeted killings, armed clashes between rival groups, security operations against Fitna al-Khawarij, and other violent developments.

According to available reports, at least 13 people have been killed or injured in these incidents, reflecting the seriousness of the deteriorating security situation across the region.

The confrontation between surrendered terrorist elements and Fitna al-Khawarij further exposes the internal divisions and violent rivalries among these groups, while local populations continue to bear the consequences of armed confrontations.

The growing frequency of security-related incidents has raised serious concerns about civilian safety, particularly in commercial centres and public gathering places. Traders, shopkeepers, and ordinary citizens remain vulnerable to the consequences of continued violence and instability.

The situation underscores the urgent importance of protecting civilian lives, maintaining public security, and preventing armed groups from turning populated areas into battlegrounds.

As rival Khawarij factions turn their guns against one another, the people of South Waziristan continue to face the consequences of escalating violence and insecurity.
