Security forces conducted two separate intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations in the Shewa and Spinwam tehsils of North Waziristan, resulting in the elimination of approximately 22 to 24 Fitna al Khawarij (Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan) elements.
According to security sources, the operations were launched on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence and movement of Khawarij operating in these areas. Acting swiftly on the information, security personnel engaged identified hideouts in coordinated and targeted actions.
In the intense engagements that followed, security forces successfully neutralized the identified Khawarij elements. Officials stated that both operations were conducted with precision and tactical superiority, ensuring effective targeting of hostile networks operating in the region.
The operations were carried out in the strategically significant areas of Shewa Tehsil and Spinwam Tehsil, both of which have previously witnessed militant activity and intelligence-based security actions.
Officials reiterated that such intelligence-driven operations will continue as part of a broader counter-terrorism strategy aimed at dismantling militant networks, restoring durable peace, and ensuring long-term stability in the region.
