In a series of recent developments backed by visual evidence and regional intelligence reports, the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has been unmasked not as the “freedom movement” it claims to be, but as a foreign-backed terrorist outfit that thrives on fear, manipulation, and exploitation of its own people.

Far from representing the aspirations of the Baloch people, the BLA is reportedly coercing Baloch women, brainwashing children, and engaging in economic and social sabotage, all while falsely parading as “defenders of the Baloch cause.”

Under the guise of resistance and nationalism, BLA operatives have been accused of targeting Baloch women, either through blackmail, persuasion, or emotional manipulation, and involving them in anti-state activities. Simultaneously, children as young as school age are being radicalised, trained to glorify violence, and turned against the very society they belong to.

This exploitation is not only a human rights violation but a calculated strategy to build a narrative of victimhood while fueling long-term unrest.

Security officials involved in recent Iran-Pakistan joint operations revealed that the BLA, along with other splinter groups like the Balochistan Yakjehti Committee (BYC), has been receiving support from India’s intelligence agency RAW and Israel’s Mossad.

This foreign patronage serves to prolong instability in the region, undercutting any genuine peace-building efforts and weaponizing ethnic identity for geopolitical gain.

Despite their public rhetoric of defending Baloch rights, BLA members have been recorded committing acts that directly harm Baloch society, from attacking local institutions and infrastructure to undermining community trust and development.

Security experts argue that the BLA’s operations are now more aligned with militancy and terrorism, than political resistance, functioning as a proxy militia for hostile regional actors.

Human rights defenders and regional analysts are calling for greater global scrutiny of so-called liberation movements that mask terrorism behind political slogans. The BLA’s use of women and children as tools of conflict has particularly raised alarms in international circles.

The BLA’s dual-faced identity, one that professes to protect while it preys on its people, has become increasingly difficult to mask. As evidence mounts of foreign support, psychological warfare, and exploitation, it is clearer than ever that the real threat to the Baloch people is not just external oppression, but also the internal betrayal by those claiming to fight for them.
