Two personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC) were abducted at gunpoint and subsequently killed by Khawarij in the Sifan Kozi Khel–Kurram Garhi area of Bannu, within the jurisdiction of Police Station Cantt.
According to preliminary information, armed Khawarij intercepted the FC personnel and forcibly took them to an undisclosed location. The victims have been identified as Havildar Ishaq and Sepoy Umar Hayat, both serving with Platoon No. 59.
Following the abduction, security and law-enforcement authorities launched efforts to locate the missing personnel. Their bodies were subsequently recovered from the Telgi area, where both were found dead. The incident has prompted a security investigation aimed at determining the precise circumstances surrounding the abduction and killings and identifying all individuals involved.
The killing of the two FC personnel represents a serious security incident in Bannu and underscores the continuing threat posed by Khawarij militants operating in the region. Security authorities are expected to intensify intelligence and security measures in the area and pursue those responsible for the attack.
