Safia Akhtar Bibi, wife of Farhad and a resident of Ganjai Kelay, Takht Bhai, has publicly announced her complete disassociation from her husband, whom she says has remained affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij.
Speaking at a press conference at the Takht Bhai Press Club Sub-Office, Safia Akhtar Bibi categorically stated that she has no connection whatsoever with her husband’s alleged activities or associations. According to her statement, her husband has been associated with Fitna al-Khawarij and has also contracted a second marriage. She made it clear that she neither supports nor has any involvement in any activity undertaken by him.
During the press conference, Safia Akhtar Bibi emphasised that her husband’s activities are entirely separate from her own and that she should not be held responsible for anything he may do. She said that she had already publicly clarified her position through newspapers in the past and was once again making her stance clear so that there could be no ambiguity regarding her position. Her statement represents an explicit public distancing from her husband and any activities or affiliations attributed to him.
Safia Akhtar Bibi further stated that if her husband returns to their home or comes back into the area, she will personally inform the police and relevant security agencies. She stressed that she would not conceal his presence or provide any assistance in connection with his activities. Her stated intention to immediately alert law-enforcement and security authorities reflects her clear position that she does not wish to have any association with activities allegedly linked to Fitna al-Khawarij.
