A special needs man was brutally killed in Balochistan’s Panjgur district after terrorists allegedly accused him of spying, in an incident that has sparked outrage among local residents and community leaders.

According to local sources, the victim, identified as Khuda Rahim, was abducted and later murdered by armed men who claimed he was involved in espionage activities. Residents rejected the allegation, describing the victim as a vulnerable individual suffering from a mental disability who posed no threat to anyone.

The killing has drawn widespread condemnation, with locals terming it a cowardly act against a defenseless civilian. Community members said the victim was well known in the area and had no known links to any security or intelligence organization.

Sources said the attackers are believed to be affiliated with the Indian-backed and Afghanistan-based terrorist group Fitna al Hindustan. Security officials and local observers noted that such groups frequently target unarmed civilians, laborers, tribal elders, and other soft targets when unable to confront security forces directly.

Growing Concern Over Civilian Targeting

The incident has renewed concerns over the increasing trend of terrorists targeting ordinary citizens under various pretexts, including allegations of espionage. Analysts say such tactics are often aimed at spreading fear among local populations and discouraging cooperation with state institutions.

Residents of Panjgur expressed anger over the killing and called for those responsible to be brought to justice. They stressed that attacks on vulnerable civilians expose the true nature of terrorist groups that claim to act on behalf of local communities while inflicting suffering on the very people they purport to represent.

Security forces and law enforcement agencies continue operations across Balochistan to dismantle terrorist networks and prevent attacks against civilians, officials said.
