Security Forces Thwart Afghan Kharji Regime Infiltration Attempt in Swift Response

Security forces successfully repelled a cross-border infiltration attempt in the Chaman sector by Afghan Kharji Regime of Balochistan, preventing any breach of the border fencing opposite Hashim Post, according to official security sources. On April 26, 2026, elements identified as belonging to hostile groups advanced toward the border fence and attempted to cut through the barrier. The movement was detected in real time by deployed troops stationed at the location.

Upon confirmation of the intrusion attempt, security personnel immediately engaged the advancing elements. A rapid and intense exchange of fire followed, during which the infiltrators were forced to retreat from the area. Officials confirmed that the timely and coordinated response ensured the integrity of the border infrastructure and prevented any successful crossing.

Security sources stated that the hostile elements sustained multiple casualties during the exchange of fire. The group was subsequently compelled to withdraw from the area after facing strong resistance from security forces. No breach of the border fencing was reported, and the situation was brought under control following the engagement.

The Pakistan Army continues to maintain a heightened state of alert across the border regions, particularly in sensitive sectors such as Chaman, where attempted infiltrations have been previously observed. Officials reiterated that security forces remain fully prepared and vigilant to respond to any future threats or attempts to undermine border security.

Authorities emphasized that the country’s border defense framework remains robust, with continuous monitoring, rapid response capability, and operational readiness forming the core of ongoing security strategy.
