Security forces killed at least five terrorists affiliated with the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), also declared by the state, and the government of Pakistan as Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH), during a successful intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Nushki district, officials said.
According to initial reports, the operation was launched after security agencies received credible intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists hiding in the area and allegedly planning subversive activities.
During the operation, security forces effectively cordoned off the suspected hideout and engaged the terrorists in an intense exchange of fire. As a result, five BLA terrorists were eliminated on the spot.
Officials said the area was completely cleared following the operation, while a further search and sanitization operation was launched to trace any possible facilitators, hideouts, or weapons caches in the vicinity.
The slain terrorists were reportedly involved in terrorist activities in the region, including attacks targeting security forces, state installations, and civilians.
Balochistan has witnessed a surge in terrorist incidents in recent months, particularly in remote districts where anti-state elements attempt to destabilize the region.
Security forces have vowed to continue operations until the complete elimination of terrorist networks and their facilitators from the province.
