Security forces successfully repelled a coordinated attack carried out by a group of armed Khawarij on a security checkpoint in the Panjgur Sector of southwestern Pakistan.
According to initial reports, the assailants attempted to storm the security post earlier today. Alert personnel at the location responded immediately and engaged the attacking Khawarij with prompt and effective defensive fire, preventing any breach of the installation.
Reinforcement units from nearby positions, including Quick Reaction Forces (QRF), were swiftly mobilized and reached the scene to support the engaged troops. The coordinated and timely response ensured the situation was contained and compelled the attackers to retreat.
During the intense exchange of fire, three Khawarij were neutralized, while several others are believed to have sustained injuries. The remaining assailants fled the area under sustained pressure from the security forces’ response.
Following the incident, a comprehensive clearance and sanitization operation was launched in the surrounding area to eliminate any residual threats and ensure complete restoration of security.
Search and pursuit operations are ongoing to track down fleeing elements and prevent any further attempts to destabilize the region.
Security forces have reaffirmed their resolve to maintain peace and stability in the area and to protect local communities from any threats.
