Khawarij Strike in Khyber: Powerful Blast Destroys Abandoned Post, Investigation Underway

Khawarij terrorists carried out a destructive attack on the Arkhanda Post located along the Kam Shalman Road in Khyber District’s Landi Kotal tehsil, using explosive materials to demolish the structure late last night.

According to local sources, the attack occurred at approximately 11:30 PM at the Arkhanda Post, situated nearly three kilometers from the Haidari Check Post towards Kam Shalman. The powerful explosion was heard across a wide area, causing concern among residents and highlighting the continued threat posed by terrorist elements seeking to undermine peace and stability in the region.

The blast completely destroyed the post, which had reportedly remained non-operational for nearly four years. Despite its inactive status, the attack reflects the destructive intent of Khawarij elements and their continued efforts to create fear and disrupt the security environment in the tribal districts.

Following the explosion, security and law enforcement agencies moved swiftly to secure the area and initiate investigations. Authorities are collecting evidence and examining the circumstances surrounding the attack to identify the perpetrators, facilitators, and any supporting networks involved in the incident.

Security analysts note that such attacks are consistent with the tactics employed by Khawarij groups, which frequently target symbols of state authority and public security in an attempt to spread fear and project influence. However, they emphasize that these actions only strengthen the resolve of security institutions and local communities committed to maintaining peace.

The people of Khyber District have repeatedly demonstrated resilience in the face of terrorist threats, standing alongside security forces in rejecting violence and extremism. Officials reaffirm that all efforts will continue to ensure the safety of citizens and to prevent terrorist groups from regaining any operational space in the region.

Authorities have pledged that those responsible for the attack will be tracked down and brought to justice, while security measures across sensitive locations will remain under constant review.
