The National Independent Front (NIF) has claimed responsibility for a missile attack on a military installation of the Afghan Taliban in Kandahar, saying at least five Taliban personnel were killed in the strike.

In a statement, the NIF said it targeted the headquarters of the Taliban’s 205 Al-Badr Corps with missiles. The group claimed that three missiles struck their designated targets, inflicting heavy losses on the Taliban forces stationed at the facility.

According to the claim, at least five personnel of the Afghan Taliban (TTA) were killed in the attack. However, the extent of the damage and the reported casualties could not be independently verified.

The incident, if confirmed, would mark another reported attack on a Taliban military installation by an armed opposition group operating against the Taliban administration.

The NIF has not provided further details about the identities of those killed or the precise extent of the damage. There was no immediate independent confirmation or response from the Taliban authorities.
