Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran to discuss efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions and advancing diplomatic initiatives related to ending the conflict between Iran and the United States.
According to reports, the two officials held detailed discussions on proposals and diplomatic frameworks being considered to help bring the ongoing confrontation to an end and create conditions conducive to dialogue.
Iranian media reported that both sides also exchanged views on possible mechanisms for promoting peace and stability in the region, underscoring the importance of diplomatic engagement amid a rapidly evolving security environment.
The meeting comes as Pakistan continues its diplomatic outreach aimed at encouraging dialogue and preventing further escalation in the region.
Pakistan’s Diplomatic Engagement Remains Active
Diplomatic sources said Mohsin Naqvi will remain in Tehran for another day as consultations and high-level engagements related to the Iran-US situation continue.
Sources added that the interior minister has been holding a series of important meetings focused on regional stability, de-escalation efforts and prospects for diplomatic progress between the concerned parties.
The latest engagement reflects Pakistan’s continued emphasis on dialogue, negotiation and peaceful resolution of disputes, as regional capitals intensify diplomatic contacts to prevent a wider crisis and promote long-term stability across the region.
