Khawarij Ambush Foiled in North Waziristan: One Neutralized, Two Injured in Exchange of Fire

Security forces effectively responded to an attack by Fitna al-Khawarij (TTP) during a road-clearance and bomb-disposal (BD) operation in Raghazai village, Shewa, North Waziristan District. According to the available details, the Khawarij opened fire on the security forces’ road-clearance/BD party while the team was carrying out its assigned duties in the area.

Security personnel responded promptly, resulting in an exchange of fire with the attacking Khawarij. During the exchange, one Khawarij was neutralized, while two others sustained injuries.

Following the engagement, security forces launched a search operation in the surrounding area to locate any remaining Khawarij and ensure that the area is fully secured.

The search operation is currently ongoing. Security forces continue to conduct clearance and search operations in the area to eliminate the threat posed by Fitna al-Khawarij and prevent such elements from disrupting peace and security in the region.

Security forces remain resolute in their commitment to defeating Fitna al-Khawarij and maintaining peace and stability in the tribal districts.
