Five More Khawarij Neutralized in Operation Shaaban; Total Reaches 114

The Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan, and Balochistan Police continue to conduct Operation Shaaban, a coordinated and sustained counterterrorism campaign aimed at eliminating Khawarij elements and restoring lasting peace and stability across the province.

According to security sources, joint security operations are progressing effectively, with forces maintaining relentless pressure on Khawarij hideouts and operational networks through coordinated ground assaults and precision aerial engagements. The ongoing campaign reflects the strong operational synergy between Pakistan’s military, paramilitary, and law enforcement agencies in confronting the persistent terrorist threat in Balochistan.

During the latest phase of the operation, five additional Khawarij operatives were successfully neutralized, further weakening the operational capabilities of the extremist network. With these latest successes, the total number of Khawarij eliminated during Operation Shaaban has risen to 76, marking another significant milestone in the ongoing campaign.

Security officials further confirmed that since 5 July, a combined total of 114 Khawarij have been neutralized through Operation Shaaban and other intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted across Balochistan. These coordinated actions have targeted terrorist leadership, safe havens, facilitators, and operational infrastructure responsible for planning and executing attacks against security forces, public institutions, and innocent civilians.

Operation Shaaban represents a comprehensive and intelligence-driven effort to dismantle terrorist networks operating in the province. The campaign combines actionable intelligence, precision targeting, coordinated ground maneuvers, and aerial support to deny Khawarij the ability to regroup, recruit, or launch further attacks. The continued success of these operations underscores the professionalism, determination, and operational readiness of Pakistan’s security forces.

The operation also reflects the Government of Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to protecting its citizens, preserving national security, and ensuring that extremist elements are denied any operational space within the country’s borders. Security forces remain fully committed to pursuing every terrorist and dismantling every network that threatens peace, stability, and development in Balochistan.

Authorities emphasized that counterterrorism operations are being conducted with careful planning and sustained coordination among all relevant security institutions. The objective remains not only to eliminate immediate threats but also to destroy the logistical, intelligence, and support structures that enable terrorist organizations to operate.

Operation Shaaban forms part of Pakistan’s broader national counterterrorism strategy, which combines intelligence-led operations, enhanced border security, inter-agency coordination, and continuous efforts to prevent terrorist organizations from re-establishing their presence in vulnerable areas.

Security sources reaffirmed that the operation will continue with full intensity until every Khawarij element operating in Balochistan is brought to justice or neutralized. The campaign will proceed without interruption until the complete dismantling of terrorist infrastructure and the restoration of enduring peace throughout the province.

The Pakistan Army, FC Balochistan, Balochistan Police, and other law enforcement agencies remain steadfast in their mission to safeguard the nation, protect innocent lives, and ensure that Balochistan continues its path toward peace, stability, and sustainable development.
