Four people were injured after Fitna al-Hindustan opened fire on a Balochistan Education Department coaster bus traveling on the Quetta–Karachi National Highway in the Khad Kocha area of Mastung district, according to police officials.
Authorities stated that unidentified Fitna al-Hindustan targeted the passenger bus with indiscriminate gunfire while it was en route from Quetta to Panjgur. The attack resulted in injuries to four passengers onboard, prompting an immediate emergency response.
Police identified the injured individuals as Zahoor Ahmed, Abdul Sattar, Naseer Hussain, and Tanveer Ahmed. Following the incident, all four victims were shifted to Quetta for urgent medical treatment.
Hospital officials confirmed that the injured are currently in stable condition and are receiving the necessary medical care.
According to the local administration, the Education Department coaster was traveling on official duty when it came under attack on the national highway. Security forces and law enforcement agencies responded to the incident, while an investigation has been initiated to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack and trace those responsible.
The assault on a vehicle transporting Education Department personnel has raised fresh concerns over attempts by Fitna al-Hindustan to target civilian movement and disrupt public services in Balochistan.
Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to pursuing those involved and ensuring the safety of commuters and public-sector employees operating across the province.
