The federal and Balochistan governments have reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to strengthening security coordination, accelerating the implementation of a comprehensive peace strategy, and ensuring the effective enforcement of the state’s writ across the province, declaring that there will be “no space for terrorists” in Balochistan.
The resolve was expressed during a high-level law and order meeting held in Quetta, jointly chaired by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti. The meeting conducted a detailed review of the province’s prevailing security environment, ongoing counterterrorism operations, institutional reforms, and future measures aimed at achieving sustainable peace, stability, and development.
The participants were briefed on the latest security developments, operational progress, and the provincial government’s strategic roadmap to address emerging security challenges. The meeting emphasized the need for enhanced coordination between federal and provincial institutions, improved intelligence-sharing mechanisms, and a more integrated operational approach to effectively counter terrorism.
During the meeting, it was decided to further strengthen the professional capabilities of the Balochistan Counter-Terrorism Force (CTF) and the provincial police. Authorities also agreed to accelerate the implementation of previously approved reforms aimed at modernizing law enforcement institutions and enhancing their ability to respond effectively to evolving threats.
The federal government assured the Balochistan administration of its full cooperation and support, including the provision of necessary resources to improve security infrastructure, enhance operational capacity, and equip law enforcement agencies with modern capabilities.
Addressing the meeting, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that the federal government would continue extending all possible assistance to Balochistan to ensure lasting peace and stability. He emphasized that the effective and timely implementation of the peace restoration master plan was a critical requirement for addressing security challenges.
The Interior Minister highlighted the importance of utilizing modern technology, strengthening intelligence networks, and adopting a coordinated strategy among all relevant institutions to defeat terrorist threats. He further stressed that the expertise and experience of former senior Balochistan police officials should be incorporated into future security planning to further improve operational effectiveness.
Mohsin Naqvi reaffirmed that the federal and provincial governments were working with complete unity and close coordination to confront security challenges and safeguard the lives and interests of the people of Balochistan.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti reiterated the provincial government’s determination to remain ahead of terrorist elements and continue efforts against all forms of militancy. He stated that no pressure would weaken the state’s resolve and that the writ of the state would be established throughout the province.
“The writ of the state will be established at all costs, and no place will be left for terrorists in Balochistan,” Chief Minister Bugti said.
The chief minister also underlined the importance of empowering the province’s youth through education, skills development, employment opportunities, and constructive engagement. He noted that creating merit-based opportunities was essential to restoring confidence among young people and ensuring a brighter future for generations to come.
Highlighting the strong connection between peace and prosperity, Chief Minister Bugti stated that security efforts and development initiatives would continue simultaneously. He reaffirmed that, with continued federal support, the provincial government would accelerate infrastructure and development projects while maintaining a strong focus on public safety.
Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, economic progress, and stronger international partnerships during a high-level meeting with Member of the British House of Lords Lord Zamir Choudhrey.
The discussion focused on regional stability, economic opportunities, expanding investment cooperation, and strengthening bilateral engagement between Pakistan and international partners.
During the meeting, Lord Zamir Choudhrey appreciated Pakistan’s continued efforts toward promoting peace and stability in the region. He also acknowledged the role of Pakistan’s leadership in advancing security and economic initiatives and highlighted the positive impact of ongoing economic policies on improving the country’s business environment.
Lord Choudhrey noted that Pakistan’s evolving economic landscape presents significant opportunities for international investors and expressed confidence in the country’s potential for sustainable growth and development.
Responding to these remarks, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized Pakistan’s determination to work closely with global partners to achieve durable peace, regional stability, and economic advancement.
