A government school in the Srha Gharah area of South Waziristan was targeted and destroyed in a deliberate explosive attack carried out by Fitna al-Khawarij elements, according to security sources.
The incident involved the use of explosive materials to detonate the school building, resulting in its destruction and causing significant damage to public infrastructure. Authorities confirmed that the attack was a targeted act aimed at disrupting educational facilities and undermining normal life in the region.
Security officials stated that such actions reflect the continued attempts by Fitna al-Khawarij to weaken state institutions and deny basic educational opportunities to local communities.
Following the incident, security forces promptly reached the site and cordoned off the area. A comprehensive search and clearance operation was initiated to secure the surroundings and collect evidence for further investigation.
Authorities emphasized that attacks on educational institutions represent a serious attempt to destabilize peace and hinder development in already affected areas. They reiterated that such acts will not deter the state’s commitment to education, reconstruction, and the restoration of normalcy in South Waziristan.
Security agencies have intensified intelligence-based operations and surveillance in the surrounding region to trace and apprehend those responsible for the attack. Efforts are underway to identify and dismantle the network involved in planning and executing the incident.
