Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in the Chamina area along the South Waziristan–Balochistan border, resulting in the neutralization of a Khawarij commander, the injury of another associate, and the arrest of one individual, sources confirmed.
According to initial reports, the encounter took place within the jurisdiction of Wanna Tehsil, Toi Khola region, where security forces engaged armed Khawarij elements attempting to operate in the area. During the exchange of fire, a Khawarij commander identified as Aidrri Kochi was killed on the spot.
In the same operation, another Khawarij associate sustained injuries, while a third individual was taken into custody alive following swift and precise action by security personnel. Sources further indicate that the arrested individual hails from the Sherani district; however, official verification is currently underway.
Security officials stated that the operation was launched based on credible intelligence regarding the presence of Khawarij elements attempting to exploit the rugged border terrain for destabilizing activities. The timely response of security forces successfully prevented further movement and potential threats in the region.
Following the engagement, the area was immediately secured and a comprehensive search and clearance operation was initiated to eliminate any remaining Khawarij presence. Investigations are ongoing, and evidence is being collected to trace operational linkages and support networks.
