Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has stated that Pakistan’s Armed Forces remain fully prepared, professionally disciplined, and operationally resilient, while consistently exercising restraint and adherence to international norms during periods of heightened regional tensions.
Addressing recent developments in a media interaction, the DG ISPR emphasized that Pakistan has maintained a consistent policy of defensive preparedness and strategic stability, ensuring readiness across all domains while avoiding escalation through responsible conduct.
He noted that during Marka-e-Haq, Pakistan’s Armed Forces demonstrated sustained operational readiness and composure under complex security conditions, while certain elements in regional media and strategic circles engaged in emotionally charged and unverified narratives. He stressed that professional military institutions rely on facts, strategy, and verified intelligence rather than speculation or rhetoric.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry underscored that a professional armed force operates on discipline, evidence-based assessments, and strategic clarity, rather than reactive or emotionally driven communication. He stated that Pakistan has consistently upheld these principles throughout the past year by maintaining structured defence readiness and demonstrating operational capability when required.
He further highlighted that stability in the region depends on responsible behaviour by all actors and an emphasis on factual, measured, and verifiable communication. According to him, the spread of exaggerated or unsubstantiated narratives not only creates misunderstandings but also poses risks to regional peace and security.
The DG ISPR reiterated that Pakistan’s defence posture remains purely defensive and stability-oriented, with a focus on safeguarding national sovereignty while contributing to broader regional peace.
He added that Pakistan’s Armed Forces continue to strengthen their capabilities and preparedness in a systematic and professional manner, ensuring that all potential challenges are addressed with discipline and strategic foresight.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry concluded that lasting peace in the region can only be achieved through responsibility, restraint, and adherence to facts, urging all stakeholders to adopt a constructive and realistic approach in their discourse.
