Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has lauded the security forces for their successful intelligence-based operations in North Waziristan, particularly in the general area of Miran Shah, which resulted in the elimination of 27 Indian-sponsored Khawarij over the past 72 hours.
In a statement issued today, the Governor congratulated the security forces on the successful conduct of the operations, describing them as a significant achievement in the ongoing fight against terrorism in the region.
He said the elimination of 27 terrorists belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Khwarij represents a major success for national security and contributes meaningfully to the establishment of sustainable peace in the region. He emphasized that such operations are vital for safeguarding the lives and property of citizens and ensuring long-term stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and across Pakistan.
Governor Kundi further noted that the neutralization of those involved in the targeted killing of prominent tribal leader Shaheed Malik Saifullah Dawar in Miran Shah serves as a measure of justice for the victims of terrorism and offers solace to affected families. He stated that such developments help heal the wounds of communities that have long suffered from extremist violence.
Highlighting the sacrifices of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly the merged districts, the Governor said that the residents of the province have rendered unparalleled contributions in the fight against terrorism and continue to stand firmly with the state in its efforts to eliminate extremism in all its forms.
He reaffirmed that anti-state elements will not be allowed to disrupt peace and stability in the region under any circumstances. The Governor stressed that security forces, law enforcement agencies, and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are united in their resolve to eradicate terrorism completely.
Referring to the ongoing national counter-terrorism campaign, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said that under the vision of the Federal Government and the National Action Plan, the “Azm-e-Istehkam” initiative will continue with full force to eliminate the scourge of terrorism from the country.
He reiterated the collective commitment of the state and its institutions to ensure that peace, stability, and development prevail across all regions, particularly in areas that have been most affected by militancy.
The Governor concluded by paying tribute to the courage and professionalism of Pakistan’s security forces, stating that their sacrifices and operational successes remain central to the country’s progress toward lasting peace.
