Attaullah Tarar Leads Foreign and Local Media Visit to LoC, Exposes Indian Propaganda

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar led a delegation of international and local journalists to the Line of Control (LoC) to expose the baseless Indian allegations regarding terrorist camps in Pakistan, presenting ground realities to counter the false propaganda.

According to reports, the media tour was aimed at unveiling the truth behind India’s repeated and unfounded accusations. Journalists from both domestic and foreign outlets were taken to specific locations that India had falsely claimed were terrorist hideouts.

During the visit, members of the press directly observed the situation on the ground and interacted with the local population, gaining firsthand insight into the peaceful conditions of the areas accused by India of harboring militant infrastructure.

“India has frequently levelled baseless allegations against Pakistan. Today, we have laid all facts bare before the global and national media,” said Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar. “The world has seen the reality of the so-called terror camps fabricated by India. Their propaganda has collapsed in the face of truth.”

This media visit comes after India violated the ceasefire twice along the LoC over the past week, escalating tensions in the region.

Following the attack on local tourists in Pahalgam, India unleashed a wave of provocative statements and actions—suspending the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan, ordering Pakistani diplomatic staff to leave by April 30, 2025, and cancelling Pakistani visas.

In response, Pakistan’s National Security Committee adopted a firm diplomatic strategy, reciprocating by limiting the Indian diplomatic mission to 30 officials. The Committee underscored that water is Pakistan’s lifeline and any attempt to block it would be considered an act of war.

Rising tensions between the two nuclear-armed South Asian nations have raised alarms globally. Pakistan recently held India responsible at the United Nations for the deadly Jaffer Express attack, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also offered to accept impartial investigations into the Pahalgam incident—a gesture met with India’s continued intransigence.

International actors including the U.S. State Department, the President of the UN Security Council (Greece), the Gulf Cooperation Council, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and UN Secretary-General António Guterres have urged both nations to de-escalate.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Pakistan today to discuss the rapidly evolving regional situation, with a likely visit to India expected to follow.
