The Home and Tribal Affairs Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reported significant progress in the ongoing repatriation of Afghan nationals, with more than 4,300 individuals returning to Afghanistan in the first few days of April alone. According to the latest update, a total of 254 individuals were forcibly repatriated from April 1 to April 4, 2025, marking a continuation of Pakistan’s efforts to address the presence of Afghan nationals in the country.
The report reveals the breakdown of the repatriation process over the course of April:

Voluntary Repatriation: 152 individuals, including 50 males, 50 females, and 41 children, were voluntarily repatriated, along with 11 individuals holding Proof of Registration (POR) cards.

Afghan Nationals without Documentation: A staggering 1,244 individuals, including 549 males, 271 females, and 424 children, from 209 families, were repatriated without proper documentation.

Forced Repatriation: The total number of forcibly deported individuals stood at 254, including 93 males, 84 females, and 77 children. These individuals either lacked the necessary documentation or were expelled under deportation orders.
In the broader context, since the start of the repatriation campaign on September 17, 2023, a total of 469,159 Afghan nationals—comprising 70,494 families, 160,981 men, 112,832 women, and 199,410 children—have been repatriated.
