The operation was aimed at disrupting the group’s operational infrastructure and preventing its elements from using the area to plan or facilitate terrorist activities.

According to security sources, security forces successfully targeted hideouts and positions associated with Fitna al-Khawarij in North Waziristan and adjoining areas. The operation demonstrates the continued focus of security forces on intelligence-driven action against militant networks, with particular emphasis on identifying their locations, monitoring their movements and dismantling their operational capabilities.

The reported elimination of five Khawarij and injury of two others represents a significant development in the ongoing security operations in the region.

Security sources said that the operation followed continuous surveillance of Fitna al-Khawarij movements in the area. The intelligence-led approach enabled security forces to track the group’s activities and subsequently undertake a decisive operation against its reported positions.
