Security forces have achieved another significant success in ongoing counterterrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eliminating multiple Khawarij and destroying several of their hideouts during intelligence-based operations conducted under the Azm-e-Istehkam Vision.
According to security sources, security forces have been conducting sustained and effective intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past two months as part of the broader Azm-e-Istehkam campaign aimed at eliminating terrorist networks and restoring lasting peace in the region.
As part of these continued operations, security forces launched a targeted intelligence-based operation in the Khatti Kili area of North Waziristan, where multiple Khawarij hideouts were successfully identified and destroyed.
During the operation, security forces engaged the Khawarij and neutralized multiple terrorists. A large cache of weapons, ammunition, and other operational equipment was recovered from the slain Khawarij, dealing another significant blow to their operational capabilities.
Security sources further indicated that several additional Khawarij were reportedly injured during the operation, although efforts to verify their identities and assess the full extent of the operation remain ongoing.
Authorities emphasized that throughout the operation, the protection of civilian lives and property remained the highest priority. Every precaution was taken to ensure that the local population was not harmed and that the operation was conducted with maximum precision to minimize any risk to non-combatants.
The latest operation underscores the continued determination of Pakistan’s security forces to dismantle terrorist infrastructure, deny extremist elements any operational space, and prevent the regrouping of Khawarij networks in the region.
Security forces reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to maintaining the momentum of intelligence-led operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and stated that such actions will continue until the complete elimination of terrorism and the establishment of durable and lasting peace throughout the province.
