Security forces have intensified Operation 11 Garaj against Khwarij positions across Kohat Division, with 56 Khwarij reportedly eliminated and 100 others seriously injured in the ongoing operations.
The intensified campaign is being conducted through intelligence-based ground operations and drone strikes targeting suspected Khwarij hideouts and positions in Darra Adam Khel, Karak, Orakzai, Hangu, Kurram and Parachinar.
The latest phase of Operation 11 Garaj reflects an expanded security effort across a wide and strategically sensitive belt of southern and central Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The affected areas include difficult mountainous terrain, important connecting routes and communities that have faced repeated security challenges.
According to the latest operational update, 56 Khwarij have been eliminated while 100 others have sustained serious injuries. Security forces are continuing operations against suspected terrorist positions as intelligence is developed regarding their locations, movement and support networks.
The use of both ground teams and drones allows security forces to combine intelligence-based action with surveillance and strikes against targets that may be difficult to reach through conventional means. Such operations can also help disrupt terrorist movement between hideouts and staging areas.
The campaign covers a broad geographic area, extending from Darra Adam Khel and Karak toward Orakzai, Hangu and Kurram, with operations also being reported in Parachinar.
