Landmine Explosion Injures Two Children in South Waziristan

Landmine Explosion, South Waziristan' Barmal Tehsil, Azam Warsak

Two children were injured in a landmine explosion in the Azam Warsak area of Barmal tehsil in South Waziristan district, police said.

The blast occurred when the children came into contact with the landmine, leaving them injured. The victims were identified as Imran and Khan Syed, according to police sources.

The injured children were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Wana for medical treatment. Hospital sources said both children were in stable condition and out of danger.

Police registered an initial report and launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities are also expected to determine the circumstances surrounding the presence of the landmine in the area and whether other explosive devices may remain in the vicinity.

Landmines and other unexploded devices continue to pose a danger to civilians in parts of the tribal districts, particularly in areas that have experienced prolonged militant activity and security operations.
