The Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) held a special interactive session with participants of the Summer Internship 2026, engaging them in a comprehensive discussion on matters of national security, terrorism, information warfare and the evolving challenges posed by social media.
The interactive session provided students with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Pakistan’s national security environment and the increasingly complex information landscape in which contemporary security challenges are being addressed.
According to ISPR, more than 6,150 students from 21 different stations across Pakistan are participating in the Summer Internship 2026 programme, reflecting the broad-based reach and growing interest of young Pakistanis in national security, strategic affairs and issues of national importance.
During the special session, the DG ISPR addressed a wide range of questions raised by the students and provided detailed and comprehensive responses on issues relating to national security, terrorism, information warfare and the challenges emerging from the rapidly evolving social media environment.
The interactive nature of the session enabled participants to directly engage with the DG ISPR, seek clarification on issues of national and strategic significance, and develop a broader understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing Pakistan in the contemporary security environment.
Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of informed public discourse and responsible engagement in the digital age, where information travels rapidly and social media has become an increasingly influential component of the broader information environment.
Following the interactive session, the DG ISPR held a special meeting with the Summer Internship 2026 participants. He interacted with the students in a cordial and informal atmosphere, exchanged greetings with them and engaged in friendly conversation.
