Security Forces Conduct Successful Operation in Gara Budha, Tank; Wanted Khawarij Neutralized

Security forces conducted a precision-based intelligence-led operation in the Gara Budha area of Tank district, resulting in the elimination of a high-value wanted Khawarij identified as Khalil, according to security sources.

Officials stated that the operation was launched on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence of the wanted individual, who was actively involved in multiple serious acts of terrorism in the region. During the exchange of fire, the target was effectively engaged and neutralized by security forces.

Security sources further confirmed that Khalil was involved in several high-profile attacks against law enforcement personnel. He was allegedly implicated in the martyrdom of two police personnel in May and had also participated in the targeted killings of two Frontier Corps (FC) personnel who were off-duty and visiting their homes during the Eid holidays in June.

Authorities noted that Khalil had long been on the wanted list of law enforcement agencies and was actively engaged in facilitating and executing various terrorist-related activities aimed at destabilizing peace and security in the area. His elimination marks a significant development in ongoing counter-terrorism efforts in the region.

Security forces reaffirmed their commitment to continuing intelligence-based operations to eradicate Khawarij elements and ensure lasting peace and stability across the country. Further investigations and clearance operations in the surrounding areas are underway.
