A Pakistan Air Force trainer aircraft, while undertaking a routine training sortie, has crashed near Mardan today. Rescue and emergency response teams were promptly mobilized to the site of the incident.
According to initial reports, both pilots onboard embraced Shahadat in the line of duty. The martyred personnel have been identified as Flight Lieutenant Muhammad Qasim Abdullah (Pakistan Air Force) and Lieutenant Taha Abbasi (Pakistan Navy).
The Pakistan Armed Forces, including the Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy, are deeply grieved over this tragic loss of precious lives in the service of the nation. The dedication, professionalism, and commitment of the fallen officers will always be remembered with utmost respect and honour.
A Board of Inquiry has been immediately constituted by Air Headquarters to determine the cause of the accident. Further details will be shared upon completion of the investigation.
