Security forces have successfully foiled planned terror activities following a significant intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Gwak Mand area, where a large cache of arms and ammunition was recovered, according to official sources.
The operation was conducted by the Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan (South), which acted on credible intelligence regarding the presence and movement of hostile elements in the region. During the targeted operation, security personnel carried out a swift and coordinated action, preventing what officials described as potential terror-related activities.
As a result of the operation, a substantial quantity of weapons, explosives, and ammunition was seized from the area. Officials confirmed that the recovered material was intended to be used in activities aimed at destabilizing peace and security in the region.
Security forces stated that the timely intervention successfully disrupted planned hostile operations and eliminated a significant threat before it could be executed. The recovery highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement and security agencies to maintain stability and counter emerging security challenges in Balochistan.
Following the operation, the area was thoroughly secured and cleared, and further search activities were initiated to ensure no remaining threats were present. Additional checkpoints and surveillance measures have also been strengthened in surrounding areas as part of continued security efforts.
FC Balochistan (South) reiterated its commitment to ensuring lasting peace and stability in the province and stated that intelligence-based operations will continue in order to eliminate any elements threatening public safety and national security.
Authorities have praised the professionalism and swift response of the personnel involved, emphasizing that such successful operations reflect the effectiveness of coordinated counterterrorism efforts in the region.
