According to Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, In the aftermath of recent terrorist incidents across Pakistan, security forces conducted precision intelligence-based operations along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border targeting hideouts and operational sanctuaries of Fitna Al Khwarij masterminds and planners. The operations resulted in the elimination of 26 Indian-sponsored Khwarijs.
The targeted action comes in response to a series of recent terrorist attacks, including the attack on a Federal Constabulary post in Musa Dara on 9 June 2026, a vehicle-borne suicide attack on a military post in North Waziristan on 2 June 2026, and an assault on a police station in Bannu on 9 May 2026.
Based on credible and actionable intelligence, security forces carried out selective and highly coordinated strikes against identified camps, hideouts, and logistical hubs. Officials confirmed that four key targets were successfully neutralized during the operations, including a training facility, a hideout, an ammunition cache, and operational centers (Marakiz) associated with Fitna Al Khwarij commanders Aleem Khan Khushali and Akhtar Muhammad Jani Khel.
All strikes were executed with precision and accuracy, ensuring the destruction of critical infrastructure used for planning, coordination, and execution of terrorist activities. The eliminated elements were reportedly involved in orchestrating and facilitating multiple attacks against security forces and civilians.
Security sources emphasized that Pakistan remains firmly committed to regional peace and stability, while unequivocally prioritizing the safety and security of its citizens. It was further stated that the country’s ongoing counterterrorism campaign under the national vision “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, continues in full force.
Authorities reaffirmed that Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies will maintain sustained pressure on all elements involved in foreign-sponsored and externally supported terrorism. The ongoing operations aim to dismantle terrorist networks, eliminate their infrastructure, and prevent any resurgence of organized militant activity within or across the border regions.
Officials concluded that Pakistan’s counterterrorism strategy remains decisive, intelligence-driven, and relentless, ensuring that any threat to national peace and sovereignty is dealt with effectively and without compromise.
