Deadly Attack on Islamic Emirate Forces in Badakhshan Leaves 13 Killed and 28 Injured

An attack targeting Islamic Emirate security forces has been reported in the Dasht-e-Ashna area along the Kokcha River in Afghanistan’s northeastern Badakhshan province, according to local sources and initial reports from the region.

Preliminary information suggests that the incident resulted in significant casualties among security personnel. Reports indicate that 13 individuals were killed and 28 others sustained injuries in the attack. The injured were subsequently transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment, where emergency response measures were initiated.

According to available details, three military vehicles were also heavily damaged during the incident, highlighting the intensity of the assault and the scale of destruction caused at the site.

Initial accounts further suggest that a number of attackers may also have been killed during the exchange of fire that followed the initial assault.
